As for Research and Development, we focus on two main areas.
One is the area covering stationery and general-purpose plastic sheets.
SANVIC is the first company in the world to succeed in commercializing stationery file covers made of polypropylene, which you see everywhere. Biodegradable plastic sheets developed by SANVIC were widely utilized at the 2005 World EXPO in Aichi, the first environmentally conscious EXPO.
Another area is photovoltaic module sealants.
In partnership with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), SANVIC has been researching this area for three years and the outcome will be shown in the AIST booth at an exhibition in Germany 2008.
Research Facilities
Since its foundation, SANVIC always has been committed to improving its analytical instrumentation for general plastics, especially plastic sheets. For the last few years we have also been focusing on analytical instruments for photovoltaic cells. As shown in the picture below, we have been conducting field tests to evaluate power generation efficiency and durability of our photovoltaic module sealant, having constructed solar panels using our product.
