As a company that develops sealants for photovoltaic modules, we are planning to install a 4kW solar power generation system on the roof of the Hosoe factory.
Photovoltaic power generation system will also be installed at Hamamatsu-nishi factory, which is under construction.
We are also conducting researches into theutilization of waste raw material into products. The initiatives relating to the products developed from reclaimed and recycled materials are stated in the 'Quality Objectives'.

| Recycle |
One of our priorities is to reduce plastic scraps. We are making our maximum effort to reduce the production of scraps and recycle them within the company, as well as offering to recycle scraps generated outside the company.
a) Blending
Thanks to the blending technology we have developed, plastic products made of various kinds of scraps are now in use in the fields of agriculture, construction and automobile parts.
b) Multilayer sheets
Our precision multilayer sheet extruder has a special sub-extruder mechanism between extruder and T-die, forming a multilayer construction which sandwiches scraps between reclaimed materials. Sheets made in this way are now widely used in many fields as a plywood substitute, contributing to the protection of forests. |

| Eco-friendly Incineration |
Incineration of plastics is the most serious environmental challenge for plastic manufacturers.
We choose plastics that do not generate harmful gases, consume less calories and leave minimum residues, for our food containers, blister packaging, protective sheets including furniture and tapes.
We also produce the fire-retardant 'Sanvic Nannen' sheet used for covering floors and walls when a nuclear power station is under routine inspection. When incinerated, this special-purpose elastomer consumes less calories than half of PE or PP, does not generate halogen gases and leaves very little residue. |
|
| Biodegradable |
Due to its high cost of raw materials, biodegradable plastics are still under development, but we are sure we will be able to offer eco-friendly, biodegradable disposable products, made from Sangreen plastic sheets, in the near future.
Sangreen is dissolved into Co2 and water by soil-bound microorganism. It is eco-friendly since it consumes less calories even if when incinerated. |
